horseback riding in the wildly romantic Bakony Hills 5 days, 4 nights, 3 and a half riding day (4-5 hours riding per day) Bakony Mountain is a protected environment with lovely beech-wood and pine forests, picturesque valleys with streams and over 1100 caves. It is a region of great variety, a region of individual landscapes where settlements still have their own individual characters. Running into a deer, while riding through the forests of Bakony, is not a particularly rare occurrence. Beside deer, fallow deer, moufflons, wild boar and wild cats, there are 104 protected bird species in the woods of Bakony. Itinerary Day 1 You will be met at a lovely Hungarian equestrian farm located in Bakonykoppány, your lodging for the riding vataction. Enjoy a wine tasting in the farmhouse's cellar, while discussing your ride and the week ahead, followed by dinner with your host. Day 2 After breakfast whole day riding from Pápa to Bakonykoppány. Stop for a sumptuous picnic lunch on the banks of the Teveli lake before returning to the farm, where the dinner will be served. Day 3 After breakfast whole day riding to Pápateszér. Picnic lunch in the Jurta camp. Accommodation and dinner in the riding farm. Day 4 After breakfast whole day riding to Vanyola. Picnic lunch in the vineyard. In the evening enjoy relaxing in front of the fireplace with dinner and camp fire. Day 5 After breakfast 3 hour-long riding in the acient pine-grove of Fenyőfő. Lunch at the riding farm.
