Great Plain on horseback & the World Pairs Driving Championship 2009

Date: 17-23 August 2009

The trail ride heads to the World Pairs Driving Championship 2009 hosted by Kecskemét, we kindly ask you to inform us about your participation will due to accommodation booking.

With its colourful world of horse-breeding farms, village tourism, spas, wines, food specialities and various cultural and ethnographical values, the Kiskunság region - part of the Hungarian Great Plain - provides great opportunities for tourism. Yet, it is the wonderful landscape that frames all the attractions.
Internationally renowned, Bugac is the largest and most diverse area of the Kiskunság National Park.

Although almost completely flat the land changes significantly over short distances.
One minute you may be riding alongside fields of maize and sunflowers then you pass through plantations of peach trees or an acacia forest before emerging on to open grassland where the horses can really show what they are made of.

The most spectacular sight is the so-called “Puszta- Five”, where a horseman drives five galloping chargers, himself standing precariously with one leg on the back of each of the two rear horses.
