Great Plain on horseback & the World Pairs Driving Championship 2009
Date: 17-23 August 2009 6 days, 5 nights, 4 horsebach riding days (4-5 hour riding per day) |
|
South from Budapest you enter the Hungarian Southern Great Plains, a low sandy basin between the Danube and Tisza Rivers. Small homesteads litter the plains interspersed with forests, fruit orchards, shallow lakes and meadows.
The land is criss crossed by a myriad of sandy tracks which enable the powerful Hungarian warmbloods to travel at speed over long distances. This must be one of the best places in Europe to explore on horseback and it's no wonder that the Hungarians have such a long tradition of riding. |

| During the last two days enjoy the exciting competition of the world's best drivers during the World Pairs Driving Championship hosted by Kecskemét.
